How We Validate

Wonena brings together sustainable brands, designers, artists, and consumers, all committed to a shared objective of nurturing a diverse and sustainable culture. Collectively, we endeavor to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise, fostering education, inspiration, and empowerment among ourselves.

To gauge the meaningfulness of each brand's efforts, as perceived by us, in enhancing sustainability and human conditions within their communities, we meticulously assess them based on the two primary impact drivers: People and Planet.

Our Holistic Brands-Validation framework

Our main goal is to, first, support trusted brands, and secondly, empower communities to continue creating and developing new ways to protect our Planet Earth and its people.  In order to find a quantifiable metric to determine that, we have developed our own validating framework :THE BIRDWATCHER. 

  • Influenced mainly by worldwide standards and labels that have earned trusted recognition.
  • Also takes into consideration the effort that each brand is making to generate a positive impact, even when they don’t have those certifications yet due to economic or cultural reasons, since there is a bunch of these brands!!. These brands could still be incredibly sustainable and/or diverse-focused that we could be risking to miss out.

We fondly believe that “Every small step leads to greater goals”. Just like the bee hummingbird, which being the smallest bird can pollinate up to 2,000 flowers a day, the smallest brand from a third-world country can transform our wardrobe choices forever.
