How We Validate Brands and Products
Every brand and product on WONENA is reviewed using the same baseline criteria:
- Material transparency – Fiber composition and blends are disclosed clearly.
- Production disclosure – Where and how the product is made is stated when available.
- Certifications (when applicable) – Public third-party standards are referenced, not assumed.
- Values alignment – Brands meet a minimum threshold across People, Planet, and Ethical practices.
We do not label products as “sustainable” unless there is a clear, material-based reason to do so. Our approach favors transparency over perfection. Some products use lower-impact blends or are part of a brand’s transition toward better materials. In every case, we show what the product is made of — clearly and without overstatement — so you can decide what aligns with your values.
What we do
- Review fiber composition and material blends. Yes! We read the labels.
- Display certifications only when publicly verifiable
- Show where products are made, when disclosed
- Acknowledge progress and in-transition materials
What we don’t do
- Use vague sustainability claims
- Rank or score brands
- Assume impact without evidence
- Require perfection to be listed

Why This Matters
We act like informed “birdwatchers” of product labels—reading details carefully, documenting what we see, and sharing it transparently. Our job is to organize reliable information so you can make decisions aligned with your own values.
